Baritone
Jordi Ferrer, born in 1989 in Sant Cugat del Vallès, studied piano with professor Mònica Pons and singing with professor Marta Rodrigo at the Conservatory of Sant Cugat del Vallès until obtaining the professional degree.
He completed his singing studies at the Conservatory Superior del Liceu with maestro Carlos Chausson. He has also received extraordinary singing lessons with Nelly Miricioiu.
He is an active member of several opera companies such as NovAria, Fundació Òpera de Catalunya and Intermezzo where he regularly works as a member of the choir in the different titles proposed by the entities, as well as performing particchini. He made his debut as a soloist with the role of Dancairo in the opera Carmen at the Palau de la Música Catalana in February 2020. He has subsequently also performed Meneses in the zarzuela Cecilia Valdés collaborating with Andorra Lírica, Corbetó in El Giravolt de Maig by Eduard Toldrà, Barone in the opera La Traviata and Morales in the opera Carmen. He has also collaborated as a soloist in works by Victoria, Monteverdi, Rameau, Vivaldi, Haendel, Bach and Fauré among others and currently works regularly in various choirs of some state operas in Germany.
