Born in Barcelona, Ester Lecha completed her higher piano studies at ESMUC (Barcelona) under the tutelage of Vladislav Bronevetzki. She later moved to Helsinki to complete a master's degree in piano and music pedagogy at the Sibelius Academy, with pianist Juhani Lagerspetz. In 2019, her interest in Lied led her to complete the “Master of Lied Victòria dels Àngels” (ESMUC), learning from Francisco Poyato and receiving the Excellence Scholarship awarded by the “Fundació Victòria dels Àngels”.
She has been awarded in several musical competitions, the most recent being the “Concurs Internacional de Música de les Corts” (2018), the “Concurs Internacional Agustín Aponte” (2018), the “Concurs de Joves Intèrprets de Catalunya” (2018) and the “Concurs Nacional de Cambra Montserrat Alavedra” (2016).
She has performed as a soloist and in chamber groups in countries such as Spain, France, Finland, Bulgaria, Switzerland and England. In addition, since 2019 she has been a collaborating pianist with the Barcelona Municipal Band.
She has been a guest pianist at the “Fringe Festival” (Torroella de Montgrí, 2022), “Xarxa de Joventuts Musicals de Catalunya” (2022, 2018), “International Chamber music Festival Plovdiv” (Bulgaria, 2022), “Leeds Festival” (Leeds, 2022), “Oxford Lieder” (Oxford, 2021), “DeltaChamber Music Festival” (Amposta, 2020) and “Músics en Residència” (Alella, 2017), among others. Some of her performances have been recorded by Catalunya Música.
Regarding teaching, she is currently a repertory pianist at the Professional Conservatory of Music in Sant Cugat del Vallès.
